Hi, I'm Chris

I’m Chris Walsh, Green Bean Specialist at ICT. My coffee journey began over 10 years ago while working as a bartender, where I quickly discovered a passion for coffee and the people behind it. Over the past 22 years, I’ve worked across almost every area of hospitality, building a broad understanding of the industry and the people who make it what it is. I spent five years as a coffee roaster, which gave me a strong appreciation for the relationship between green coffee, roasting and the final cup.
MY APPROACH
My favourite part of coffee has always been the people and the endless possibilities that come from a simple green bean. I’m a particular fan of light-roasted coffees, especially those with bright fruit and floral characters, but what keeps me excited is the incredible variety that coffee offers. Every origin, process, producer and harvest can bring something completely different to the cup, and I love helping roasters discover those coffees and find the right fit for their business.
